IMPORTING THE SETTINGS

  1. Insert the USB Key into a USB port on the DX8100 front panel.
  2. Click Edit > Import Setup
  3. Double-click the last drive on the list. This is your USB Key.
  4. Locate the backup file you previously created, and then click Open. Your previously backed up settings will now be imported into your new installation.
    NOTE: Allow 60 seconds for the import process to finish to ensure that all of the DX8100 settings are imported. Then continue with the next step.
  5. Remove the USB device:
    1. From the DX8100 menu, click File > Unplug/Eject Hardware. The Unplug or Eject Hardware dialog box opens.
    2. Click Stop. The Stop a Hardware device dialog box opens.
    3. Select the USB device to which the DX8100 settings are exported.
    4. Click OK. The Safe to Remove Hardware dialog box opens.
    5. Click OK.
    6. Click Close.
    7. Unplug the USB Key.
    8. Done.
       
  6. If the backup file was saved to a DVD/CD
         a. Copy backup (bak) file from DVD/CD and paste in the C: drive.
         b. Right click backup .(bak) file and select properties.
         c. Uncheck Read-only and click Ok 
         d. Import backup(bak) file.

NOTE: If the USB key is not detected by the DX8100 application, Exit to windows mode and make sure windows can detect the USB key. Go back to the DX8100 software and follow the above steps again.
