When connecting to a DMS system using DS ControlPoint client, a error message "Argument number is not a valid value" is received.

The user account DS ControlPoint is using to connect does not have any Assigned Rights.
- Navigate to START > Programs > Pelco > DSAdmin
- Login with an administrator account
- Click on User Administration
- Highlight the DS ControlPoint user in the Users window, then click the User Rights tab.
- Select user rights from the Available Rights window and add them to the Assigned Rights window to give access.
- Click Save and exit DSAdmin.
