Rebooting a Spectra IV camera causes video loss on a DS XPress recorder until the first PTZ movement.

Issue

Rebooting or entering the camera menu on a Spectra IV camera connected to a DS XPress recorder causes video loss until the camera has a PTZ movement or is logged out of the menu by other means.

Cause

The display text font on the Spectra IV camera can cause high video level ranges which are higher then the DS XPress TX400 capture card can handle.

Resolution

A font driver patch for the Spectra IV has been developed to eliminate the lockup issue on the
DigitalSENTRY and DVX recorders. Have the user download the desired text font firmware fix
from the FTP below:
