Cause

  • Configure the KBD300A for D or P protocol communication.
  • No PTZ control of a Pelco Analog PTZ camera such as the Spectra Mini, Spectra Series, ExSite or Esprit.

KBD300A Switches

The KBD300A configured for Direct Mode operation supports only a fixed baud rate communication setting:

Pelco-D 2400 baud: Dip switch 5, 6 and 7 down for ON.
Parameters: 8 Data Bits, No Parity, 1 Stop Bit.

Pelco-P 4800 baud: Dip switch 5 and 6 down for ON
Parameters: 8 Data Bits, No Parity, 1 Stop Bit.
 

Note: The KBD300A must be version 5.0 or higher to support Pelco D protocol (4.0 version support Pelco-P only). Plugging the power in to the KBD300A will allow view of version by the red led flashing display of 50 or higher. Current version of KBD300A is 57.
