Configure dual monitor display on the DSSRV Network Video Recorder

Issue

Would like to extend or clone the Windows desktop to a secondary monitor.

Cause

This feature must be configured using the Intel Graphics and Media Control Panel.

Resolution

*Note: In order for the second monitor to show up in Intel Graphics and Media Control Panel  the DSSRV will need to have the second monitor connected before powering up the DSSRV or if the monitor was connected with the DSSRV powered on it will need to be rebooted.
 


Using the Intel Graphics and Media Control Panel.

Dual Monitor - Extended Mode

 

  1. Right-click the Intel Graphics and Media Control Panel icon in the system tray and select Graphics Properties.





     
  2. The Intel Graphics and Media Control Panel wizard will launch, click the Control Panel button at the bottom.





     
  3. Click the Multiple Displays option under Display.





     
  4. Verify the Primary Display and Second Display are the correct monitors, then click the drop down option for Operating Mode.





     
  5. Select Extended Desktop and then click OK.




Dual Monitor - Clone Mode

  1. Follow the steps listed above but on step five instead of selecting Extended Displays select Clone Displays.

 

NOTE: Running the DS ControlPoint client software on the DSSRV NVR server degrades the performance of the server; therefore, running the DS ControlPoint client at one or more workstations is recommended.
