At night or when viewing dark angles color cameras display grainy video.
All color cameras – all models – all versions.
At night during low light conditions, color cameras cannot "see" without some help. There are built –in amplifiers that "boost" available light. If the light levels are too low for the cameras ability to amplify light with-in a set of workable parameters, then noise will be amplified and a distortion will display upon a video monitor. This noise is viewed as a grainy distortion.
- Add more lighting.
- Switch to a Low Lux rated camera.
Consider IR lighting for environment
Note: To select proper camera for application it is recommeded to measure the lighting of area.
