When you update a TXB-N on a Spectra IV you can lose preset, patterns and other things that held in the Spectra IV menu.
Spectra IV with a TXB-N board.
Updating using the PPM files.
When you update the TXB-N in most cases it updates or down grades the Spectra IV h64 files also. This is done to make sure the TXB-N firmware is matched to the Spectra IV firmware. The firmware change on the Spectra IV will erase the presets, patterns, and other things that are stored because a system re-format will occur. See Chart below
The TXB-N versions below 1.7.0 do not update the Spectra IV
The TXB-N versions 1.7.0 to 1.721 will update the Spectra IV to 2.200
The TXB-N versions 1.7.22 to 1.7.31 will update the Spectra IV to 2.201
The TXB-N versions 1.7.32 to 1.7.41 will update the Spectra IV to 2.400
The TXB-N version 1.8.2 will update the Spectra IV to 2.502
There is no current solution, the Spectra IV reformats when it has a jump to another firmware.
