Configuring UDI5000-MTRX in ASCII mode: Network Server

Issue

How to add a Network Server connection for the UDI5000-MTRX in ASCII mode as well as set up Alarms and Macros.

Endura UDI5000-MTRX in ASCII mode All Versions

Cause

It is necessary to configure the UDI5000-MTRX in ASCII mode with a Network Server connection.

Resolution

UDI5000-MTRX Setup Connections:

  1. Open UDI5000-MTRX Web Interface
  2. Click on the Connections Tab
  3. Assign a Connection Name:
  4. Set Connection Type: dropdown to Network Server
  5. Add Port: 3002
  6. Default Monitor: None

To create alarms that will run a script:

Endura Workstation:

  1. Create, then execute the script.
  2. Verify that the script produces the desired results.

UDI5000-MTRX Setup Alarms/Macros:

 

  1. Open UDI5000-MTRX Web Interface
  2. Click on the Alarms/Macros Tab
  3. Click +  to create Alarm
  4. Select Trigger: dropdown to Alarm
  5. Add Number: 1
  6. Action upon trigger: dropdown to Endura Script 
  7. Select proper script from the dropdown

 

To test, Free IP Tools may be used:
 

 

  1. Click on RawSocket from the left side of the page
  2. Click on RawTCP
  3. Set the Host IP Address of the UDI5000-MTRX
  4. Set the Port number of the UDI5000-MTRX to 3002 in this example
  5. Click on the Connect button.  Message ***Connected to 192.168.5.224 ***
  6. To trigger alarm #1 type 1Ea then click on the send button.  In this example we are calling up camera 101 to monitor 10
