Configuring UDI5000-MTRX in ASCII mode: REST/HTTP

Issue

How to add a REST/HTTP connection for the UDI5000-MTRX in ASCII mode as well as set up Alarms and Macros.

Cause

It is necessary to configure the UDI5000-MTRX in ASCII mode with a REST/HTTP connection.

Resolution

UDI5000-MTRX Setup Connections:

  1. Enter UDI5000-MTRX Web Interface.
  2. Click the Connections tab.
  3. Assign a Connection name:
  4. Set the Connection type: drop-down to REST/HTTP.
  5. Add Port: 3001.
  6. Set the Default Endura monitor: dropdown to None

     
To create alarms that will run a script:

Endura Workstation:

 

  1. Create, then execute the script.
  2. Verify that the script produces the desired results.

UDI5000-MTRX Setup Alarms/Macros:

  1. Open UDI5000-MTRX Web Interface.
  2. Click on the Alarms/Macros tab.
  3. Click +  to create an alarm.
  4. Select Trigger: drop-down to Alarm.
  5. Add Number: 1.
  6. Set the Action upon trigger: drop-down to Endura Script, and select the desired script from the additional drop-down menu.

*** Command to select monitor 1:   http://192.168.5.181:3001/ascii?cmd=1%4Da (Monitor 1 must be programmed in Endura Workstation with number 1)
*** Command to select camera 10:  http://192.168.5.181:3001/ascii?cmd=10%23a (Camera 10 must be programmed in Endura Workstation with number 10)
