The DigitalSENTRY VideoServer Service does not start after a first and second failure.

Set the DigitalSENTRY VideoServer Service to recover after a failure.

  • Go to START > Run or Search bar and type in services.msc and press [ENTER]
  • Locate the DigitalSENTRY VideoServer Service.
  • Right-click the DigitalSENTRY VideoServer Service and select Properties.
  • Click on the Recovery Tab.
  • Select "Restart the Service" for First and Second failures.

Note: The DigitalSENTRY WatchDog Service can also be used to monitor the DigitalSENTRY VideoServer Service, the WatchDog service will restart the VideoServer service on failure, after 5 failures the WatchDog service will restart the system. In order to run the WatchDog service the SNMP service must be installed on the system. For information on installing the SNMP, refer to article : Digital Sentry reports error "Unsuccessful in attempting to start the SNMP service" when the DigitalSENTRY WatchDog Service is running.
