Issue

A KBD4000 and Main monitor can be wired remotely using Pelco's Fiber modules to remote administer and control Genex Multiplexers.

Cause

Installation and Service.

Resolution

NOTE: Whenever a multiplexer server is installed, you must enter programming mode from the multiplexer’s front panel. After doing so, you can program the multiplexer through its front panel or you can navigate and make programming selections through the keyboard.

Set the KBD4000 to non-polled mode (keyboard switch 4 ON): All multiplexers are slaves and the keyboard is the master.


 

Set the Multiplexer as UNIT ID 0001 and COMM TYPE as SLAVE

Set SPOT MONITOR DISPLAY to TRACK MAIN.
