DS ControlPoint has stopped working message appears on Workstation, or Server when connecting to a DX4700HD/DX4800HD (v2.00.01.0602).

Environment

  • DX4700HD/DX4800HD (Version 2.00.01.0602)
  • DS ControlPoint  software
    • (Version 7.4.363-7.8.91)

Cause

Loss of video at the DX4700HD/DX4800HD server will corrupt the DS Controlpoint client software.

Resolution

Option 1: Resolved issue, Upgrade DS ControlPoint to version 7.9.148 or later. (this version will included the dll fix)

Option 2: If upgrading is not a option , To apply dll fix, DS Control Point must be version 7.7.309-7.8 and installed on a windows 7 OS.

  1. Close DS ControlPoint.
  2. Click here to download DS Control Point Networkclient fix. 
  3. Unzip DS Control Point Networkclient folder.
  4. Navigate to path c:\program Files (x86)\Pelco\Common File
  5. Copy NetworkClient.dll and replace exsisting file
  6. Reopen DS ControlPoint
