DX8100 is unable to display live video when logged in as a Guest

Issue

The DX8100 is unable to display live video when logged in as a guest even though security levels have not been assigned to camera channels.

Cause

Permissions denied to the Restricted user account causes the Guest account to no longer display live video.

Resolution

  1. Log in with the admin user account.
     
  2. Click on the setup icon    
     
  3. Click on the user icon 
     
  4.  Under the Restricted User Group, click on the Live tab until it turns RED

 

  5.   Click Apply

 

Or

Camera security is enabled for each camera. To disable camera security:

  1. Log in with the admin user account.

  2. Click on the setup icon
  3. Click on Camera icon
  4. Under Camera properties set Camera Security to 'none'
