How to create a bootable CM97xx Operations Disk?

Issue

CM97xx-CC1 will not boot up completely with a blue screen or with a message "No operating system found".

Creating a CM97xx-CC1 bootable Operations Disk

What will I need to get started?

  • Blank 3.5" Floppy Disk
  • USB to Floppy Disk Drive
  • Internet Access to Download the bootable Operations Disk
  • Model of the CC1, for example CM9740-CC1, CM9760-CC1, or CM9700-CC1
  • CC1 software version.  Pelco Matrix Support assistance may be required.
  • Current CM97xx copy of the flat files

Getting Started

  1. Download the Operation_Disk_903045.exe then copy to your PC desktop

     
  2. Attach a USB to Floppy Disk Drive to the PC.  Skip this step if a floppy disk drive is already installed.
  3. Insert a blank 3.5" Floppy disk into the USB to Floppy Disk Drive
  4. Locate the Operations Disk file on the PC Desktop  Right click and select "Run as  Administrator"
  5. Click Yes to continue

     
  6. Click OK to continue

     
  7. Click OK to continue

     
  8. Click OK to Continue

     
  9. Click Yes to continue

What is on the bootable floppy disk?

  • DOS 6.22
  • CM9700.exe version 9.03.045

 

What's Next?

  1. Replace the A:\9700\CM9700.EXE file with the appropriate version on the Operations Disk.  Pelco Matrix Support assistance may be required
  2. Copy the flat files to A:\9700 of the Operations Disk
  3. Edit the autoexec.bat file adding a line below CD \9700.  For example CM9740 Test, or CM9760 Test, or CM9700 Node1 of the Operations Disk.  Save the changes.
  4. Power off the CM97XX-CC1
  5. Insert the Operations Disk into the CM97XX-CC1
  6. Power "ON" the CM97xx-CC1
