Which network interface is used on the DSSRV and DSSRV2 (Digital Sentry)

Configuration of DSSRV network connections using either a single or dual network card configuration.


Note: The Interface RJ-45 Gigabit Ethernet Ports (1000Base-T)  are non load balancing. It is recommended that the DSSRV use a Gigabit connection (link speed) per NIC.

Network Port 1 represented by Network Connection 1 (left network port is primary) this is where the client PC's (DS ControlPoint) network will be connected. This port maybe the only port used if the camera network is on the same network connection as the client network.

Network Port 2 represented by Network 2 connection (right network port is secondary) this is where the IP camera network/internet connection will be connected. This port maybe used if the camera network is on a separate network subnet from the client network.

Important Notes:
-If both network adapters are used and configured with IP addresses within the same network range, the system may experience erratic behavior, such as random video loss from IP cameras, PTZ control delay, and in-camera motion detection not triggering properly.
-Network adapter teaming or otherwise bridging the interfaces will prevent Digital Sentry System Information status detail from completing and results will be no HDD,NIC'S,Software LED'S lights. These setting are not supported.
-The DSSRV2 NVR boasts total throughput of up to 350 Mbps (300 Mbps for JBOD models)
