Cameras that are enabled to record audio are available to any connected DS ControlPoint client. They can listen to Live and Recorded audio.

The user credentials being used for the DS ControlPoint client connections have the user right "Audio Monitor" assigned.
Remove "Audio Monitor" from the assigned rights for the DS ControlPoint login credentials in DS Admin.
On the Digital Sentry recorder, open DS Admin (Start > All Programs > Pelco > DS Admin)
Login with the 'admin' user account or another account with administrative rights.
Click on the User Administration folder.
In the Users window, highlight the user account which should not have audio access.
Click on the User Rights tab, locate the Audio Monitor user right under "Assigned Rights" and highlight.
Click the < button to move the Audio Monitor user right from Assigned Rights to Available Rights.
Disconnect / Reconnect DS ControlPoint to use the new settings.

Note: If audio is associated to a camera which has been made Covert or removed from Camera Assignments of the login user, the audio will also be hidden / removed along with the camera.
