What is the minimum and maximum IRE required for the ENC5516/ENC5416 encoder?

Issue

What is the minimum and maximum IRE required for the ENC5416 encoder?

Product Line

Pelco Video Management

Environment

  • ENC5516
  • ENC5416
  • DSSRV

Cause

  • Analog video level is too low or video displays "No live video."
  • Board 1 stop receiving frames.

Resolution

The maximum and minimum capture level for the ENC5416.
Note: This voltage cannot be measured using a Volt Ohm Milliamp Meter, using a Camera Master or a specifically designed device that reads IRE is the only way to measure voltage.

ENC5516:

AGC maximum capture level signal (p-p) value

2.04V (sync 81.6 IRE)

AGC minimum capture level signal (p-p) value

0.33V (sync 13.2 IRE)

Note: 1V p-p = 140 IRE (sync = 40 IRE / video level = 100 IRE)

ENC5416:

AGC maximum capture level signal (p-p) value 1.53V (sync 61.2 IRE)
AGC minimum capture level signal (p-p) value 0.25V (sync 10 IRE)

Note: 1V p-p = 140 IRE (sync = 40 IRE / video level = 100 IRE)
