DigitalSentry: No live video from a Samsung IP camera in DS ControlPoint.

Issue

During DS Quick Setup Wizard camera authentication fails while trying to validate the Samsung SNV-1080RN IP camera.

Cause

Samsung SNV-1080RN firmware v2.0.xxxx fails to maintain time sync with DSSRV causing authentication failure.

Resolution

Samsung cameras need to be time synced with the NVR, verify that the Option "sync to PC" is checked or use Meinberg software to time sync cameras. Also re-sync date/time of Samsung IP camera with NVR.

The Samsung IP camera (SNV-1080RN) firmware must be upgrade to the latest firmware. Click here to get the SAMSUNG's latest firmware version.

Note: Verified Samsung SNV-1080RN IP camera firmware version snb1001_Series_2.22_131228 works with DSSRV v7.5.609.
