Enable or Disable a camera from displaying video for the DX4800HD.

Issue

Adding a camera to the DX4808HD. Video is not displaying.

Cause

Spare camera inputs of the DX4800 are commonly programmed as disabled. Adding a camera at a later time will require the input port/s to be enabled.  

Resolution

Disable: Allows a camera to be enabled or disabled from displaying video.
 

To Disable a camera Input:

  1. On the toolbar, click the Login (person icon). The on-screen keyboard appears.
    Note: Right Click on mouse if the toolbar is not displaying.
  2. Type the password. Default is admin for password.
  3. Click OK.
  4. Access the Setup Menu, on the toolbar, click the Setup Icon (gear).
  5. From the Camera Menu, Click the Camera Submenu.
  6. Click the Channel box, and select the desired channel.
  7. Click under the Disable option and set for ON. This removes a camera from displaying video.
  8. Exit Menu.


To Enable a camera input:

  1. On the toolbar, click the Login (person icon). The on-screen keyboard appears.
  2. Type the password. Default is admin for password.
  3. Click OK.
  4. Access the Setup Menu, on the toolbar, click the Setup Icon (gear).
  5. From the Camera Menu, Click the Camera Submenu.
  6. Click the Channel box, and select the desired channel.
  7. Click under the Disable option and set for OFF. This allows a camera to display video.
  8. Exit Menu.
