DX4000 series backup causes export process to hang.

Issue

Backup configured displays incorrect start or end date and time, and causes the system to hang when the export is started.

 

Setting a start and end time range for a channel to any device results in incorrect display:  The example below displays 3 years off on channel 2.

  • DX4000 Series

Cause

  • Bad Sectors on hard drive cause data corruption. DVR cannot display the video data correctly and can not process the compression for export.

Resolution

The product is Obsolete but pelco cannot extract the data.  Outsource to data recovery if required. DX4004 is not repairable due to obsolescence. Please contact your local Schneider-Electric/Pelco Sales representatives for upgrade options.
