Issue

Sarix camera reboots and clears the System Log file.

Cause

Log information has been lost.

Resolution

To View Camera logs requires an archive utility such as 7up or Kiwi.

 Download Kiwi Syslog Server Free edition 9.3.4 (or current version) from here: www.kiwisyslog.com/downloads.aspx

Download 7-Zip 9.20 (2010-11-18) for Windows: http://www.7-zip.org/a/7z920.exe

Install the utility on a PC on the camera network

Generate camera log file and save to a local directory on the PC.

Drag the log file into the util to display.

Use SSH tro Generat the Log File

SSH into the camera and type "killall syslogd" enter.

Next type "syslogd -R (IP Address of workstation or server):514 &" enter.

Example: "syslogd -R 192.168.5.100:514 &"

Select manage then start the syslogd service.

To review logs got to C:\Program Files {or Program Files (x86)}\Syslogd\Logs
