The DX4500/DX4600 shows to be recording video but a search finds no results.

Issue

The DX4500/DX4600 recorder displays the recording icons and is configured with an event/normal partition but a Date/Time or Event search has no results.

Cause

The DX4500/DX4600 recorder is configured for a Video Format of PAL.

Resolution

Change the Video Format to NTSC

  1. Log into the DX4500/DX4600 recorder using the admin account.
     
  2. Navigate to Setup > Camera > Video
     
  3. Left or right-click the value next to Video Format and change to NTSC.
     
  4. Click the X and when prompted Save the changes.
     

The system will run through a format process, verify there is now a RED circle for today's date in Date/Time search.
