Digital Sentry: IPFramegrabber Error: Event ID 0

Issue

  • The IPFramegrabber Source: Integral.Common.IPC Motion mask size does not match cameras expected size and must be resized this may result in of some loss of accuracy of the mask please consider reconfiguring motion mask after changing resolutions.
  • The IPFramegrabber Source: Integral.Common.IPC Device did not return valid video.
  • The IPFramegrabber Source: Integral.Common.IPC  Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
  • The IPFramegrabber Source: SPECIFID ARGUMENT OUT OF RANGE OF VALID VALUES

Cause

DigitalSentry fails to display video, event logs reveal IPframegrabber errors.

Resolution

The IPFramegrabber Source: Integral.Common.IPC Motion mask size doesn’t match cameras expected size and must be resized

The system thinks there is a motion mask setup.
a. Set Motion Detection to Use Server Side and Clear Motion MASK on the Motion Tab.
b. Verify the Camera resolution and the aspect ratio size is equal to 4:3 to match Motion Mask acpect ratio. 
c. Set motion detection to none in DSadmin => on cameras general tab. If this restores video check firmware of the camera for support Sarix pro must be 3.20 and higher.
d. Check the Image rate setting (try different settings)
e. set the profile to main or high (in the camera settings)

Reduce resolution according to what is supported on the cameras Specsheet. If there is video, and changing resolutions drops video; the system may need to be load balanced.  
 

The IPFramegrabber S.ource: Integral.Common.IPC Device did not return valid video.

  1. The camera RTSP port is not set to 554.

The IPFramegrabber Source: Integral.Common.IPC Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

  1. Verify the Frames Per Minute field is set to a supported configuration.
  2. Verify  Resoution, and Quality match in web gui.
  3. Reboot Camera.

IPFramegrabber returns with: SPECIFID ARGUMENT OUT OF RANGE OF VALID VALUES.

Digital Sentry has been configured with Video properties that do not support what is streaming to the camera.  reconfigure Resolution, Framerates, and Quality. May be a Driver support issue.
