The "Rotation" feature built into the Axis IP cameras will cause video loss with Digital Sentry if using the native Axis driver. The camera must be added manually to DS Admin using the "Other" driver.  This adds the camera using a RTSP stream URL for connectivity.

  1. Configure the screen rotation in the Axis IP camera (Setup > Basic Setup > Video Stream > Image > Rotate image: x degrees)

Note:  The video stream must be set to H.264.

  2. Follow the knowledge base article How to add an IP camera to Digital Sentry using the RTSP stream URL. to configure the camera in DS Admin using the RTSP stream.  The format for this cameras for the RTSP stream is rtsp://cameraipaddress:554/axis-media/media.amp

  3. Open DS ControlPoint and verify the image is displaying properly.
