Audio is not Recorded on an NSM5200

Issue

Audio is not being recorded, although you can hear it in the live feed.

NSM5200 network-storage manager, all versions

Cause

The audio was enabled after the camera was added to the pool. The NSM5200 still thinks that the camera is only sending video.

Resolution

  1. Log into the NSM5200 pool manager's Web interface. (The default password is admin)
  2. Click on NSM Pool
  3. Highlight the camera listed in the box that says Cameras recorded in this pool
  4. Click Remove
  5. Click Save
  6. Hit Refresh
  7. Select the camera listed in the box that says Select cameras to record
  8. Click Add
  9. Click Save

Wait a couple of minutes and then play back the newly-recorded video. The audio should now be present.
