How to configure DX4700/DX4800 series to record in motion.

Configure required menu for motion record


  1. On the toolbar, click Login  

  2. Type the password using the on-screen keyboard.

  3. Click OK. The system logs you on the Login icon turns blue.

  4. To access the Setup menu,Click the Setup icon  located on the toolbar. The Camera page appears. 
  5. From the Schedule menu, click the Schedule submenu.

  6. Click a cell to set the ending time.
  7. Continue to click the cell to select a new recording mode.
  8. Repeat the previous steps (as necessary) to configure the recording mode for each channel.
  9. Click Close.
  10. Click OK.

Motion Area selection

  1. From the Linking menu, click Motion.
  2. Click the Channel box, and select the channel you want to configure.
  3. Configure Sensitivity (Off or 01 to 10). Select a lower value to decrease the sensitivity to motion;increase the value to increase the sensitivity to motion.
  4. In the Area window, drag the outline over an area from left to right.The selected cells are highlighted in green.

  5. Repeat the previous steps (as necessary) to configure additional.  
  6. Click Close.
  7. Click OK.

Storage Menu

  1. From the Camera menu, click storage
  2. Select Event Partition % between10% to 100%
    Note: The higher the % the more motion recording will be stored and Less or no Normal record will be stored.
  3. Exit and save storage menu.

Verify configuration

  1. Verify in Live view mode a blue dot with "M" flashing in the upper right corner.
