How to Increase the C: Partition Size of the DSSRV2

Issue

The DSSRV2 default C: partition size is 50GB with the 7.7.309 image. It is possible that a customer may eventually run out of space. The SSD used in the DSSRV has 120GB of storage which means there is about 60GB of unallocated free space.

Cause

50GB is the default size used for the C: partition in DSSRVs.

Resolution

  1. Type partition in the windows start menu search bar.
  2. Click on create and format hard disk partitions.
  3. Right click the C: partition.
  4. Click Extend Volume.
  5. Click Next.
  6. By default the maximum allowed increase will already be selected. Click Next.
  7. Click Finish.

Your C: drive will now be utilizing the entire available space of the SSD.
