How to view or change camera frame rates on a DS XPress video recorder.

Cause

Adjustment to configured camera frame rates required.

Resolution


 

  1. Open DS Admin (Start > Programs > Pelco > DS Admin) and login with the 'admin' user account.
     
  2. Navigate to DS Admin > VAU > VAU System > Video Input Devices > BRD1,2,3 or 4...click on the BRD name to open tabs in DS Admin.
     
  3. Click on the Camera Frame Rates tab, to quickly allocate all available frames to the cameras evenly click the Calculate non-alarm rates taking into account frames reserved for alarm recordering button.



    The maximum a TX400 capture card can allocate is 120 frames across all cameras. The TX400 card is most common capture card in a DS Xpress video recorder.
