WARNINGELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE REQUIRED.
Discharge all static electricity from your person by touching metal prior to handling any hardware. Failure to do so may result in damage to devices.
Some SM5200 and OpsCenter units will falsely alarm and the only way to silence them is to reboot the unit. This issue relates to internal case END-4053.
Pelco Video Management
An incompatibility between a feature of the motherboard and the internal diagnostic monitoring tool (lm_sensors) has been identified. Following the procedure below will correct the situation and allow for users to continue monitoring SM5200 diagnostics through the Endura system software as normal.
To implement the solution
- Protect the computer hardware and prevent electrostatic discharge (ESD) damage by wearing a grounding wrist strap that is connected to an approved grounding source.
- Power off the unit then unplug the power cable.
- Open the chassis cover.
Locate Pin 7 and Pin 10 on JFP2 (This will typically be a yellow jumper as indicated below)
- Remove the jumper from JFP2.
- Replace the chassis cover.
- Reinstall the SM52000.
- Power on the unit.
