Wildcard Filtering in AMT.

How to use Wild Card Filtering
Resolution
In AMT when filtering is being done on devices for data within the Device Name field, there are several characters that can be used to accomplish this task:
-
%
The % character is like the * character in windows find files. Searching for a device name of %device% would return any device name containing the string “device” -
_
The underscore character allows any single character. For example, searching for a device name of “device_” would return “device1”, “device2”, “devices” etc. -
()
The left and right closed brackets allow a single character to be within a specified range (for example: (a-c) or within a set of characters (for example (abcd). Searching for a device name of “device (a-f) would return “device a” through to “device f” but not to “device g”. -
(^)
This is the negation of the previous wildcard. It specifies that a single character should not be within a set of characters (for example, (^a-c) or (^abcd)).
