DX8000/DX8100 boots to error Failed to Initiate Video Capture

Issue

DX8000/DX8100 will not boot into Windows or the DX8100 Software.

Cause

DX caputre card is not seated correctly or is bad.

Resolution

Open the cover on the DX8000/DX8100 DVR and reseat the capture card. If avalaible you can also use a free PCI slot. If reseating fails the card will need to be replaced.

DX8000: Cards 3 and 4 (may only have card 4 if using a 8 channel system)

 

DX8100: If you have two caputre cards reseat both.
