Pelco Mobile displays blurry/fuzzy images from DigitalSentry/DSSRV.

Issue

  • Pelco Mobile connects and shows the correct camera count, however all camera views are blurry.
  • Connected to 4G cell network or Wifi does not change the clearness of the view.
  • Poor picture quality from Pelco Mobile via Android phone, however demo site and iPhone connection looks clear.

Cause

Old DS Web Service is installed when the DS Version is 7.8 or later.

Resolution

Uninstall DS Web Service and install the correct DS Pelco API Bundle software. DS Pelco API Bundle can be downloaded from pelco.com. Reboot the DSSRV after install the DS Pelco API Bundle.
