DS Quicksetup is prompting for a User and Password.

Issue

User and password is unknown for digital sentry

  • DS Quicksetup wizard 

Cause

  • The user and password has been change.
  • The user and password is unknown

Resolution

Option 1:

  1. Enter a User and password with full right in dsquicksetup wizard. 
    Note: The user and password will be the same user and password use to get into ds admin.

Option 2: 

  1. Open DS Admin with another admin account (default user/password: admin)
  2. Select "User Administration" folder on the left side of the tree.
  3. Select the user name that needs to be change


     
  4. Select "Change Password" and enter new password then press OK


     
  5. To refresh the menu, select one of the other user account, then reselect the user account the password was change on.
  6. Put a check mark in "Password never expires", then press Save.
    Note: Confirm "Password age (days)" is set to 120

     
  7. Run DS Quickset enter new password.
  8. If above steps fail call Pelco Tech support at 1-800-289-9100
