VxPro: How to restore a database after a re-image

Customer has re-imaged and needs to restore their database

Cause

Windows issues.

Resolution

Note: Before re-imaging you will need to save a database backup. See LL#19217
  1. After you re-image, log into Windows with password: Pel2899100.
  2.  Accept the UAC.
  3. Click Get Started.
  4. Click OK
  5. Click Cancel.
  6. Close VxToolbox.
  7. Run the VxPro installer of the same version as your backup.
  8. Place your backup file in directory: C:\Programdata\Pelco\ProServer\DatabaseBackup
  9. Open the VxPortal.
  10. Login with admin/admin and change the password.
  11. Select Configure System from the menu.
  12. Log into the VXS portal.
  13. Click on the backups tab. Click Restore
  14. After a few minutes click refresh on your browser.
  15. Open VxToolbox and update the server's password.
  16. Configure your OCC.
