DSSRV2 with NET5500 Series

  • Keeping existing analog camera but upgrading DVR to DSSRV2
  • Adding NET5500 to existing DSSRV2

Cause

DSSRV2 Series and NET5500 series connection over view

Resolution

  1. New install follow step 1-8, if adding a NET5500 to existing DSSRV2 skip to step 8
  2. With the power off on the DSSRV2 make all necessary connection.(Monitor, mouse, keyboard,network)
    Note: Display port to DVI single-Link must be a Active converter for the two DP monitor outputs.
    Note: The Interface RJ-45 Gigabit Ethernet Ports (1000Base-T)  are non load balancing. It is recommended that the DSSRV2 use a Gigabit connection (link speed) per NIC.



     
  3. Connect NET5500 series to network.
  4. Turn on the DSSRV2.
  5. Log into windows when prompt. (default User name:DSServiceUser, Password: dsserviceuser)
  6. Name the compter and enter the static ip address using network and sharing  center. refer to article LL#14285 
  7. Then reboot system. Then log back into windows
  8. Run DS quicksetup for 1st time setup.
