Cause

Request to exit device is being activate triggering  valid entry rather than a forced door.

Incorrect Masking Settings

Resolution

Request to exit device is being activate triggering  valid entry rather than a forced door.

  1. Connect to the controller
  2. Select Edit>Controller>Doors
  3. Modify the door
  4. Change the Door Release Switch to "None"
  5. Test The door
  6. Re-set the Door Release Switch to correct setting and troubleshoot hardware

Incorrect Message Type Settings

  1. Connect to the controller
  2. Select Edit>Controller>Doors
  3. Modify the door
  4. Verify that the Message type for Forced Door and DOTL are set to "Alarm"
  5. Verify the Masking for the Door
  6. Test The Alarm

Incorrect Masking Settings

  1. Connect to the controller
  2. Select Edit>Controller>Resident I/O
  3. Modify the Reader Point for the door
  4. Ensure that making is selected and that there is a message priority and an Alarm Priority. (This should match the previously noted settings from the Door editor)
  5. Test The Alarm
