Issue

In Function Block programs you can define units for public signals and these units can only be set to basic units

Product Line

SmartStruxure Solution

Environment

StruxureWare Building Operation site with Function Block program(s)

Cause

In Function Block programs you can define units for public signals and these units can only be set to basic units. For example W or Wh. It is not possible to define kW, MW or kWh, MWh.

Resolution

Currently it is not possible to use a prefix in the Function Block Editor to define a unit. There is not a plan for this to be changed in StruxureWare Building Operation version 1.2 or later revisions. It is possible today to define e.g. Wh for energy in the Functions Block Editor. What is missing is to add the prefix M to get the unit MWh.
