UNC station in WorkPlace Pro is losing connection from the Enterprise Server periodically

Issue

UNC station in WorkPlace Pro is losing connection from the Enterprise Server periodically. During connection loss, it will not be possible to open the UNC station in WorkPlace Pro or the UNC in Admin Tool. The UNC's IP address continues to be reachable when using the ping command from the Enterprise Server computer.

The following error is seen in the UNC station's ErrorLogService.

java.io.IOException: Closedat tridium.datax.net.DxExchange.sendRequest (bytecode 13 at tridium.datax.net.DxExchange.sendAsync (bytecode 4) at tridium.foundation.prism.SubscriptionModule$DispatcherDaemon.run (bytecode 105)

Cause

There is another device on the network with the same IP address as the UNC.

Resolution

Check and note all IP addresses within the system and rectify IP address conflict.
