Atlas based products use port 80 to respond to HTTP requests.
The Atlas based products use Port 80 to respond to HTTP requests. This becomes a problem when users are using a web browser to view multiple cameras on a private network behind a router using NAT (Network Address Translation), or PAT (Port Address Translation). The Atlas based cameras are intended to be used on a local network. It is recommended to view only one camera through the internet by it's IP address as the cameras expect HTTP requests to be sent to port 80 and a router cannot port forward to any other port with PAT. These cameras were originally intended to work on private networks and to be viewed from within that network. To avoid this issue with NAT/PAT it is also recommended to use VPN when utilizing a network from the internet. Through VPN, more than one camera may be viewed in that network, as the VPN Client is part of that network on a virtual LAN.
