Cleaning and Care of LCD monitor
1. Cleaning LCD monitors has to be done very gently as it is easy to damage the screen by applying
to much pressure to it. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU DO NOT PRESS, SCRATCH,
SCRAPE OR TWIST WHEN CLEANING THE LCD PANEL.
2. Always use a cotton only cloth that is lint free or purchase the correct type of wipe or cloth from a
computer/electronics store that is made for cleaning LCD surfaces.
3. Always turn off the monitor before performing any cleaning.
4. If the screen does not come clean due to having something that has stuck to it, you can use the
below listed solutions to clean it. Remember, NEVER put any chemicals directly on the screen.
Always apply a small amount of the cleaning solution on a cloth or wipe. Be careful that you do not
have the cloth or wipe so wet that it will drip into the LCD monitor. Never press, scratch, twist or
scrape the screen.
A. Use a chemical cleaner that is made for LCD monitors.
B. You can use a 50-50 solution of isopropyl alcohol and distilled (purified) water.
C. You can also use a 50/50 solution of distilled water and white vinegar.
NEVER use Acetone, Windex, ethyl alcohol, ammonia, ethyl acid or methyl chloride to clean a
LCD screen. Always check that any cleaner you may use does not have these chemicals in it.
NEVER close the lid on a lap top after cleaning the screen until you are sure it is dry.
