Bandwidth information is needed for network configuration.
There are many variables that affect the number of cameras that can be added including the DX8100 model, the camera settings for all analog cameras, and the combined bit rate of the IP cameras. Follow these steps to help
determine the number of IP cameras that can be added to a DX8100:
- Use the ANALOG AND IP CAMERA CONFIGURATIONS chart to select DVR based on analog requirements.

- Use the IP camera specifications to determine IP camera bit rate requirements.
Refer again to the ANALOG AND IP CAMERA CONFIGURATIONS chart to confirm model will support
desired number of cameras. Do not exceed the Maximum Analog and IP Cameras.
The DX8100 Resource Meter provides a real-time assessment of available system resources for the addition of IP cameras. Installers should be prepared to make adjustments and possible tradeoffs at a job site based on results shown by the DX8100 Resource Meter.
