In Digital Sentry RealVue Xpress, how do I verify the camera is recording?

Cause

Storage location is not set to active in DS Admin.

Resolution

To verify cameras are recording the DS systems, there are several different ways for the verification process.

Below are some scenarios on how to know when your cameras are recording:

1. Verify the XPA files are writing to the storage drives in increments of 15 minutes

2. Utilizing ControlPoint, verify in Search mode the cameras recording properly

3. In DS Admin, verify your hard drive is active under the Storage Location tab in the VAU
