Under what circumstances should the DevicesOnline.dat file be deleted?

Endura viewing devices- All versions

Cause

Information regarding the instances when deleting the DevicesOnline.dat file could be helpful.

Resolution

The DevicesOnline.dat file should be deleted if any of the following instances occur.

  • An Endura device is permanently removed from the Endura system.
  • A viewing device (WS or VCD) has been moved to another Endura system with a different SM5000.
  • Alarm notifications are functioning in an undesirable manner. 
  • Cameras are missing from some viewing devices but not all.
