Issue

What is the difference between the logical and physical camera numbers when programming System Manager?

Product Line

Pelco Matrix

Environment

CM9760 version 9.03.032

Cause

System Manager required the logical and physical camera number.

Resolution

The physical number is the physical BNC port on the rear of the Matrix Bay. The logical number is the number that is assigned by the end user and is the number that the system looks for when a camera is selected from the systems keyboard or Access Control. The numbers can randomly be selected but not duplicated. Every logical number must be unique.
