Does bump on alarm/motion work for IP cameras in Digital Sentry?

Issue

Does the bump on alarm/motion work for IP cameras in Digital Sentry?
Digital Sentry does not record the frame rate displayed within DS Admin when using the medium or slow record rate schedules.

Product Line

Pelco Video Management

Environment

Digital Sentry software versions 7.0.71 and higher.
IP cameras configured for h.264 streaming.

Cause

Fast = full frame rate. This follows the exact frame rate value configured in the Edit IP Camera dialog, found in the IP Cameras tab of the VAU section.
Medium = All I Frames (usually about 2 Frames per second, depending on camera and full frame rate config).
Slow = Every other I Frame (usually about 1 frame per second, depending on camera and full frame rate config).

Resolution

Yes, IP cameras in all DS products version 7.0.71 and higher support this feature.

The Slow / Medium / Fast framerate options can be applied within the Time-Lapse and Motion Storage sections of each IP camera, but do not follow the framerate displayed literally (only analog cameras follow these values exactly as shown). Instead, IP cameras follow these rules as follows:

Fast = full frame rate. This follows the exact framerate value configured in the Edit IP Camera dialog, found in the IP Cameras tab of the VAU section.
Medium = All I Frames (usually about 2 frames per second, depending on camera and full frame rate config).
Slow = Every other I Frame (usually about 1 frame per second, depending on camera and full frame rate config).

For more information, see the operation/programming manual for the applicable Digital Sentry Series product.

NOTE: Physical alarm inputs, motion, video loss or analytics setup using the Zones > Soft Alarms section in dsadmin ony use the Fast framerate option. There is a selection for alarm boost in the schedule setup for the zone but this only applies to older DS systems using a TX400 analog video capture card.
