What are some troubleshooting tips when the Pelco Device Utility cannot find IP cameras?
- Pelco IP cameras
- 3rd party IP cameras.
- Lan or WAN.
IP cameras are not showing up in Device Utility.
- Verify the camera is powered correctly with PoE or with 24 VAC. Confirm power consumption with Web interface of PoE-capable switch or through blinking green LED during power up.
- Confirm that the green LED flashes when power is applied to the camera, indicating network connectivity.
- Verify the camera is physically connected to the same network (VLAN) as the PC running the Device Utility. If the PC resides on a different network or VLAN, verify the required multicast protocols are enabled. Consult with the IT Administrator.
