To export video included from a search result to a location on your hard drive, complete the following steps:
Using DS ControlPoint, perform a new search for the video to be exported.
Click on the Export icon or right click on the video clip and select export.
Select the type of export: Video or Image
Select the export format then click next.
Note: The recommended export format for video is the native format. EXE (which includes the video (XPA) and DS Media Player in a single executable) or XPA (requires the DS Media Player).
Select the location for the exported file to save to, click the "Browse" button to select the name and location for the export file, and then click the "Next" button.
Select the stream(s) to export. In this tab, you can select Select All or Clear All, and then click the "Next" button.
Use the status bar slider to select the beginning of the search result that you want to export, and then click the "Next" button.
Use the status bar slider to select the end of the search result that you want to export, and then click the "Next" button.
The export begins and the status bar shows the progress of the export. Once the export is completed, the search option screen will reappear.
Local hard drive must have enough free space for the export to complete, also bandwidth throttle setting in ControlPoint will affect the speed of the export. To export multiple cameras at once use xpa or exe format.
