Resolution

VZ22, VZ32, VZ42 series valves are not obsolete.  They will continue for the foreseeable future alongside the VZ219, VZ319, VZ419 series.

The key advantage of the VZ*2 series is that it will accept both thermal and motoric actuators whereas the VZ*19* series is motoric only.

The VZ*19* series is a cost effective alternative if motoric action is acceptable.  It is designed to be used with the MZ20 actuator whereas the VZ*2 series uses the MZ18 actuator (motoric).

It is planned for the MZ18 and MZ20 to be replaced by a single self stroking, auto calibrated actuator from the end 0f 2013.

Datasheets for all valves and actuators can be found here or here for MZ18A, MZ18B, MZ20A, MZ20BVZ*19*, VZ*2
